This week I’ve gotten to have some pretty fabulous conversations with people in our community and I want to take this opportunity to celebrate some of how God is moving in the life of Visio Dei.

Ephesians 2:8-10 keeps coming to mind…

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Here are some of things that I would like to celebrate:

  • Individuals recognizing that they are loved more than they could ever imagine.
  • The Oberlin Home Group coming together for prayer and devotion.
  • The Edenton St. Home Group reflecting and encouraging each other to discover their spiritual gifts.
  • Individuals wrestling with how God has uniquely created them with strengths and weaknesses.
  • The beauty of Monteray, CA and the strength of the redwood trees that proclaim the reality of God.
  • Friends sharing meals together.
  • Journey groups becoming authentic places of challenge and encouragement.
  • New people in our community discovering their place in God’s kingdom.
  • Children having fun playing.
These are just a few of the celebrations, is there anything you would like to celebrate?
How have you seen us participate in the good works Christ created us for?
How have you experienced grace that is not of yourself?
